The Click
Race_

A clicking race between totems for Mercado Ads' regional tour. Two people, two screens, one button: whoever grows their community first wins.

[The challenge]

A high-energy experience that would travel through Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay, and run flawlessly at every event, with or without internet_

[How to play]

Three steps,
one winner_

Mercado Ads' message turned into a game: more followers, more sales. Every click adds to your community.

01 Start screen: “Grow your followers!” with a play button.

Press play_

The totem invites people to play. As soon as two people line up, the system pairs them.

02 Countdown inside a violet circle.

Countdown_

Both screens start in sync at the exact same moment. Nobody gets a head start.

03 Game in progress: the bar fills with followers, “Your community 113K.”

Start clicking!_

Every click fills the follower bar, and the community levels up until it reaches the top.

What we did_

We designed and built the entire interactive system: the game, the server, the sync between totems and on-site operations.

Offline-first

Each totem carries its own local server with a database. The game never depends on the venue's network.

Real-time duel

Automatic matchmaking and games synced between two screens, click by click.

Adjustable difficulty

The game curve is calibrated on site so every match is close and lasts just the right amount of time.

Six markets, three languages

Versions for Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay in Spanish, and for Brazil in Portuguese.

Blackout-proof

Kiosk mode with automatic recovery after power failures, plus a manual for on-site staff.

Metrics by market

A dashboard with participants and best times for every country on the tour.

[The installation]

All white,
except the game_

Two vertical totems and two pedestals with buttons. In this render we left everything white so you can see what we built: what happens on the screens.
